Commercial Landscape
Spring Clean-up
The spring clean-up will take place in April when the snow cover
has diminished. All debris such as leaves, papers, cans, and
bottles left over from the winter months will be picked up from the
turf and shrub bed areas. Plant beds and tree rings will be edged
and pre-emergent herbicide will be applied to reduce the occurrence
of weeds. Broken or damaged branches in trees and shrubs will be
pruned at this time.
Turf Grass Maintenance
All turf areas will be mowed weekly as necessary to maintain a
neat appearance. Mowing equipment will be adjusted to a height of 2
½"-3" for optimum turf health. A nylon string trimmer will be used
to trim all turf grass adjacent to buildings, fences, light poles,
and all other obstacles.
Contractor will mow turf in such a manner that the grass
clippings are recycled or mulched. If mowing procedures produce
excessive clippings, these will be picked up to maintain appearance
and prevent matting on turf. The direction of mowing patterns will
be alternated each week, where allowed, to deter matting and ruts
in the turf.
All debris created from mowing operation will be removed from
sidewalks, drives, and beds at the time of each occurrence. The
property will be policed at each mowing to remove any unwanted
debris and garbage from the turf and/or bed areas.
All curbs, walks and drive edges will be edged with a power
edger periodically throughout the season to maintain a clean
look.
All mowing equipment will be kept in good repair with safety
features intact. Lawn mowers will be operated in a manner that will
prevent damage to trees, shrubs, and other property.
