Green Team
Mission Statement
Grant & Power Landscaping, Inc.™ will work towards being a more sustainable company by encouraging partners and employees to make environmentally positive choices. This will ultimately extend to our circle of influence, spreading the word of sustainability throughout our community.
Some Guiding Principles
- We will encourage our employees and partners to tread on the path of being more earth conscious in our work habits and home life.
- We will extend to our employees and customers unconditional respect, and the means to learn and develop positive environmental awareness.
- We will make an effort to reduce, reuse and recycle energy and materials.
- We will lead by making environmental choices that will not compromise the legacy we leave future generations.
It is very important to our company to take the initiative to be as ‘green’ as possible. We have formed a “Green Team” with several employees and are actively looking for new ways to improve. We are working as a team to achieve the our goals and are proud to offer the following environmentally friendly landscape solutions to our clients.
- Native Plants - A great sustainable addition to all landscapes.
- Rain Barrels and Rain Gardens - We develop, promote and implement rain gardens and rain barrels for better water management practices in our designs.
- Permeable Pavers - These functional pavers allow stormwater to seep into their joints where it will naturally soak back into the ground.
- Organic Lawn Care Fertilizer
Reduce, Reuse & Recycle
Grant & Power Landscaping is excited to implement e-invoicing for our clients beginning January 2010! Our landscaping company is continually working towards sustainability within our homes and our business. With a few more low emissions vehicles and our ability to reuse, reduce and recycle nearly 95% of our landscape waste we are proud to say we have made remarkable improvements. Have you considered what happens to that old concrete patio, asphalt drive or plant material we removed from your site? Nearly everything taken from your site as potential waste, we either reuse or recycle. Even some of our old vehicle parts are rebuilt.
Future Plans
- Incorporate rainwater harvesting systems into our landscape projects for clients interested in water conservation.
- Continue improvements to our landscape yard and office (i.e.; watering practices, insulation in building, composting program, salt storage, buying low emissions equipment, rain barrels)
- Convert to alternatively fueled company vehicles.
- Use alternative energy at the office.
- Be as environmentally friendly as possible on jobsites.
